- Practice….Practice
Always practice answering questions and responses to a average interview questions. Think of ways you can use to describe your skills sets. Showcasing of your successes is a great way to promote your candidacy.
- Be Prepared
Always be prepared for a response when you are asked the question "What do you know about our company". Try and know the interviewer's name and use it during the job interview. If you're not sure of the name, try and find out prior to the interview. When answering questions try to relate what you know about the company.
- Get Ready in advance
Your interview attire should be neat, tidy and appropriate for the type of firm you are interviewing with. Carry a nice portfolio with copies of your resume, including a pen and paper.
- Punctuality
Always be punctual for the interview, that means five to ten minutes early. Scout the location in advance if needed, take some time to locate the office ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going and how long it will take to get there.
- Maintain your Calm
Try to relax and stay as calm possible. Don’t stay quite if you do not have the answers. Listen to the entire question before you answer.
- Show Your Knowledge
Relate with what you know about the company while answering questions. While talking about your career accomplishments relate them to what the organization is looking for. Never over talk or interrupt your interviewer, apologize if you do so. Portray confidence but not cockiness or overconfidence; it will not portray a proper image.
- Portray a positive body language
Always portray a positive image, like sit upright, lean forward, eyes fixed on the interviewer. Don't cross your arms while speaking to the interview.
